Science Teacher – Southwark Secondary School

About the role

We are seeking an inspiring Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the borough of Southwark. The role starts in April (after the half‑term break) or September as a permanent position, offering a full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential involvement in Key Stage 5.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
• Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative projects.
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Science and a passion for inspiring students.
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching and student success.
• Excellent classroom management skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the UK Science curriculum for Key Stages 3–4.
