About the role
We are seeking a Science Technician to support practical science lessons in schools across the Lancaster area. You will work closely with teachers and students, ensuring laboratories are safe, well‑equipped and ready for demonstrations and experiments.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and service scientific equipment and apparatus.
- Construct, modify and set up experimental setups for classroom use.
- Assist with laboratory demonstrations and practical lessons.
- Order and manage laboratory resources and consumables.
- Ensure health, safety and cleanliness standards are met.
- Provide technical support to pupils, students and teaching staff.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a similar science technician role.
- Recent experience working in a school or comparable educational setting.
- Hard‑working, flexible and able to use initiative.
- Commitment to safeguarding and ability to develop good relationships with children and adults.
- Willingness to travel locally on a part‑time or full‑time basis.
