Science Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time (Hampshire)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic Science Tutors to deliver one‑to‑one support for children and young people across Hampshire. The role is ideal for educators who want flexible, part‑time hours while making a tangible impact on learners who need additional help.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised 1:1 science tuition to learners in alternative provision.
• Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEND, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, and other learning challenges.
• Build confidence and re‑engage students with the curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience in an educational setting (tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of science subjects and ability to deliver engaging sessions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Access to a vehicle or willingness to travel locally.
