Science Tutor – support students in East London

About the role
Reeson Education is recruiting Science Tutors to work with a Grade 1 Ofsted‑rated 11‑18 school in Central London. The role is part of the National Tutoring Programme and focuses on helping pupils whose learning has been disrupted by the pandemic.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one, one‑to‑two and one‑to‑three science tutoring sessions for pupils aged 11‑18.
- Collaborate with school staff to select and mentor students.
- Develop and agree action plans with pupils and, when needed, conduct home visits to discuss progress with parents.
- Liaise with teachers, social workers and educational psychologists, making referrals where appropriate.
- Support pupils transitioning to secondary education and work to boost confidence and self‑esteem.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree in Science or a related subject, or qualified science teacher.
- Passion for working with young people and improving attainment.
- Experience in tutoring, mentoring or teaching (school, private tuition or university setting) is desirable.
