Science Tutor – Support Students in East London

About the role
Reeson Education is partnering with a highly‑rated school in Central London to deliver the National Tutoring Programme. As a Science Tutor you will work directly with pupils aged 11‑18 whose learning has been disrupted, helping them regain confidence and improve attainment in science.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one, small‑group (1:2, 1:3) science tutoring sessions both inside and outside the classroom.
- Collaborate with school staff to identify pupils for support and develop personalised action plans.
- Conduct occasional home visits to discuss progress with parents and offer advice.
- Liaise with teachers, social workers and educational psychologists, making referrals when needed.
- Assist pupils transitioning to secondary education and help build their confidence and self‑esteem.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree in Science or a related discipline.
- Experience working as a mentor, tutor or teacher in a school or university setting is desirable.
- Passion for supporting young people and improving their academic outcomes.
