Scrub Theatre Practitioner (RN/ODP) – 1 Year Fixed-Term

About the role

Join the Theatre team at Duchy Hospital as a Scrub Practitioner (RN/ODP) on a 1‑year fixed‑term maternity cover. You will support safe and efficient theatre care across a varied caseload of orthopaedics, general surgery, ophthalmology, plastics and laparoscopic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of safe and efficient theatre care.
• Prepare and manage equipment and consumables for surgical cases.
• Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams throughout procedures.
• Provide an excellent patient experience through clear communication and professionalism.

Required profile

• NMC or HCPC registration.
• Proven experience as a Scrub Practitioner.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
