SDET – Automated Testing Engineer (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join our team on a 6‑month contract. You will work in a hybrid setting, spending two days a week in our London office, and help shape our automated testing strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automated testing frameworks using Cypress and Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Create and maintain test scripts with WebDriver, Selenium, Gherkin, and Cucumber.
• Perform performance testing using JMeter.
• Write clear test cases and scenarios using JSON data structures.
• Conduct UI testing to ensure compliance with HTML and CSS standards.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to define testing requirements and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate web‑service interactions using the Fetch API and validate data flows.
• Carry out exploratory testing and continuously improve QA processes.
• Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with engineering to resolve them.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices in test automation.

Required profile

• Strong experience in building and maintaining automated test frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
