Seasonal Tractor Driver – Harvest Work (Category F Licence)

About the role

Join our seasonal harvest team as a Tractor Driver, working across Southminster and surrounding sites from May to October. No prior agricultural experience is required – full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Report daily to the Southminster site and perform pre‑shift machinery checks (fuel, oil, lights, condition).
• Operate tractors and mowers to harvest and mow green crops efficiently.
• Transport harvested crops from the field to the processing site.
• Record field and farmer details, log trailer movements, and use Greenstar for field mapping and hazard reporting.
• Maintain clear radio communication and adhere to all health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Valid Category F driver’s licence.
• Over 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
• Willingness to work long harvest days (up to 12 hours) and occasional weekends.
• Reliability, safety‑conscious attitude and ability to travel daily to the site.

Required skills

• Greenstar field‑mapping software.

• Competitive pay: £13.44 / hour for the first 8 hours, then time‑and‑a‑half for the remaining hours.
