Secondary English Teacher – Littlehampton (Full‑time, Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for an inspiring Secondary English Teacher to join a forward‑thinking school community in Littlehampton. You will deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4, fostering a love of literature, language and critical thinking.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality English lessons that challenge and motivate students.
• Assess, track and report pupil progress in line with school policies.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
• Create an inclusive classroom culture where all students feel valued.
• Participate in wider school life, including meetings, enrichment activities and CPD.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for English.
• Ability to inspire students of all abilities and backgrounds.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom‑management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
