Secondary English Teacher (SEN) – Swindon

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Secondary English Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Swindon. You will work with young people who have a range of additional needs, delivering engaging English lessons that build confidence and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver creative, engaging and differentiated English lessons to secondary students with special educational needs.
• Plan and adapt curriculum to meet individual learning journeys and progress targets.
• Assess student work, provide feedback and track progress.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to support pupils.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Passionate about teaching English and supporting learners with additional needs.
• Patient, enthusiastic and committed to inclusive education.
• Experience in SEN settings or mainstream teaching with a desire to work in SEN.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
