Secondary General Cover Teacher – Flexible Daily Rate

About the role
This temporary position offers experienced secondary teachers the chance to work on a day‑by‑day basis across KS3–KS4 classrooms in Maidenhead. You will join a network of cover supervisors who value flexibility and the ability to choose when and where you teach.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons and keep students on task during cover periods.
- Provide additional support to pupils who need extra help.
- Follow each school’s policies, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt quickly to new classroom settings and timetables.
- Give constructive feedback to the regular teaching staff after each placement.
Required profile
- Hold UK QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Recent experience teaching in a UK secondary classroom.
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
