Secondary General Cover Teacher (Full‑time/Temporary)

About the role

Reed Education is seeking qualified, enthusiastic teachers to provide cover across schools in Sussex for the 2023‑2024 academic year. The role involves day‑to‑day or longer‑term cover in a variety of subjects, giving you the chance to work in different environments while supporting pupils and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans and maintain curriculum continuity in the assigned classroom.
• Manage pupil behaviour and uphold school expectations.
• Communicate effectively with class teachers and senior leadership teams.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and schedules.

Required profile

• Qualified teaching status (or equivalent).
• Current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Flexibility to work across multiple schools and an open‑minded approach to daily routines.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
