Secondary General Cover Teacher (Temporary Full‑time)

About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic, qualified teachers to provide cover across secondary schools in Sussex for the 2023‑2024 academic year. The role can be day‑to‑day or long‑term, offering a variety of classroom experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of subjects, including Maths, English, Science, Humanities, PE and Modern Foreign Languages.
• Provide short‑term or extended cover in multiple schools as required.
• Maintain positive behaviour standards and manage classroom discipline.
• Communicate effectively with class teachers and senior leadership teams.

Required profile

• Qualified teaching status (or equivalent) and a current DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Flexibility to work in different schools and adapt to varied timetables.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
