About the role
We are a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Reading, Berkshire, seeking a passionate Geography Teacher to join our Humanities department from September 2026. This full‑time, permanent position offers the chance to inspire students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Geography to KS3–KS5 students (KS5 experience desirable).
- Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons that foster curiosity about the world.
- Contribute to a supportive, collaborative Humanities faculty.
- Encourage critical thinking, environmental awareness, and global understanding.
- Participate fully in the wider life of the school.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Geography in UK secondary schools.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Geography.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning; early‑career teachers are encouraged to apply.
