Secondary Learning Support Mentor

About the role

We are seeking a Secondary Learning Support Mentor to join a secondary school in Havering. In this full‑time position you will help pupils with a range of additional needs access the curriculum, build independence and feel safe throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, small‑group or whole‑class support to pupils with MLD, SLD, ASD, SEMH or behavioural difficulties.
• Assist students in accessing learning activities and developing independent study strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to plan and deliver tailored interventions.
• Monitor progress and report on pupil development.
