Secondary Music Teacher

About the role

We are recruiting an enthusiastic Music Teacher for a secondary school in Slough to join the Performing Arts department from September 2026. The role involves teaching music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5, and contributing to a vibrant creative curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 teaching.
• Deliver engaging, inclusive, high‑quality lessons that inspire a love of music.
• Support students in developing performance, composition, listening, and music technology skills.
• Contribute to concerts, productions, performances, and extracurricular music activities.
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to ensure excellent outcomes.
• Collaborate within a supportive and ambitious Performing Arts team.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across practical and theoretical music.
• Knowledge of music technology and digital music production.
• Commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for all learners.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for enriching students' educational experiences through music.
