Secondary School Cover Supervisor (Full‑time, Term‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team in Guildford, supporting secondary‑aged students during teacher absences. This permanent, term‑time position offers the chance to work across a variety of subjects and year groups, ensuring continuity of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes across different subjects, ensuring pre‑set work is completed.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of each class.
• Provide feedback to regular teaching staff on student performance and any classroom issues.
• Assist with additional educational activities as required.

Required profile

• GCSEs at grade B or equivalent, including Maths and English.
• A degree in a relevant subject area.
• Strong interest in working with secondary‑aged students or pursuing a teaching career.
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
