Secondary School Cover Supervisor (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Secondary School Cover Supervisor on a temporary basis. You will support schools across Surrey and West Sussex by stepping in for absent teachers and ensuring continuity of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher across various secondary schools.
• Maintain classroom order, discipline, and a positive learning environment.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and set up any required equipment.
• Monitor student progress during the session and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit the needs of different classes and subjects.

Required profile

• Experience working with secondary‑age pupils is highly advantageous.
• Strong desire to enter the teaching profession or gain further experience in education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility to travel between schools in Surrey and West Sussex.
