Secondary School Cover Teacher (Daily Rate £130-£160)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Secondary School Cover Teachers to deliver pre‑planned lessons across schools in Surrey and West Sussex on a flexible, daily‑rate basis. This temporary position allows you to make a positive impact on students while enjoying varied teaching environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects when the regular teacher is absent.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a constructive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of different classes and individual students.
• Provide feedback on student performance and report any significant issues.
• Ensure the safety and safeguarding of all pupils at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in secondary schools.
• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for teaching and high‑quality education.
