Secondary School SEND Teacher – East London

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Secondary School SEND Teacher to join our team in East London. You will work with children of various ages, delivering tailored instruction and support to help them thrive academically and socially.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans across Maths, English and Physical Education.
• Provide specialised support for pupils with special educational needs using speech therapy and applied behaviour analysis.
• Offer additional tutoring in core subjects for students requiring extra help.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to parents and colleagues.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.
• Proofread educational materials to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Mentor students on behavioural issues, social skills and academic goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
• Experience in special education or physical education is highly desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with parents, colleagues and external professionals.
