Secondary SEN Teacher – Bolton (Full‑Time)

About the role

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Bolton, supporting pupils aged 11–19 with autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, communication needs and SEMH challenges. The school provides a structured, inclusive environment with small class sizes and high staff‑to‑pupil ratios.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons to meet individual needs
• Support pupils to achieve academic, social and emotional progress
• Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
• Use positive behaviour management techniques
• Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and families
• Monitor and assess student progress effectively

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching SEN students at secondary level
• Strong understanding of ASC, SEMH and complex needs
• A patient, adaptable and resilient approach
• Passion for inclusive education and student development
