Secondary Supply Teacher – Flexible Daily Cover in Chester

About the role

Academics is looking for adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to provide high‑quality cover across secondary schools in Chester. This role offers daily, short‑term or long‑term assignments, giving you complete control over your working pattern while gaining experience in a variety of subjects and school environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver prepared lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 across multiple subjects.
• Maintain classroom discipline and uphold school policies.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and timetables.
• Provide seamless continuity for pupils during teacher absence.

Required profile

• UK Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised secondary teaching qualification (desirable).
• Previous experience teaching or covering in UK secondary schools.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Based in or able to commute to schools throughout Chester.
