Secondary Supply Teacher – Flexible Daily Role

About the role

Reed is looking for enthusiastic Secondary Supply Teachers to provide short‑term cover across schools in the South East. You will step into classrooms on an ad‑hoc basis, ensuring continuity of learning when regular teachers are absent.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑prepared and subject‑specific lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and follow each school’s policies.
• Maintain effective classroom behaviour and create a constructive learning atmosphere.
• Implement safeguarding measures and promote a safe environment for pupils.
• Provide feedback on student performance and any incidents to the regular teaching staff and school administration.

Required profile

• Experience teaching at secondary level.
• Strong classroom and behavioural management abilities.
• Awareness of current safeguarding and welfare requirements.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
