Secondary Teacher – Full‑time Placement (Day Rate £150‑£230)

About the role

Our partner academy in Luton is seeking a qualified Secondary Teacher for a full‑time, long‑term placement starting September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for experienced candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver stimulating subject lessons aligned with the national curriculum and exam board specifications.
• Use formative and summative assessment tools to track progress and provide targeted interventions.
• Establish clear classroom routines and positive behaviour management strategies.
• Collaborate with the SENDCO and Learning Support Assistants to ensure inclusive access for SEND and EAL students.
• Lead GCSE exam preparation, including technique workshops and feedback sessions.
• Participate in departmental meetings, cross‑curricular planning, parent‑teacher evenings and professional development days.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS) – mandatory.
• Proven experience teaching your subject in a UK secondary school, or an early‑career teacher with strong subject knowledge.
• Ability to inspire and manage adolescents with empathy and authority.
• Commitment to a full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday timetable from September 2026.
