Secondary Teacher Positions in Sefton – Sep 2026

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified secondary teachers for a range of opportunities across Sefton, Merseyside, starting in September 2026. Positions are available in schools located in Southport, Formby, Crosby, Maghull and Litherland, covering both long‑term and short‑term needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and staff meetings.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching at secondary level, or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a recent teaching qualification.
• Ability to teach one or more of the following subjects: English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE, Design & Technology, Computing, Business Studies, Art, Music, Modern Foreign Languages.
• Commitment to professional development and collaborative practice.
