Secondary Teaching Assistant – Bracknell

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Bracknell from September 2026. The role supports both classroom learning and pastoral care, helping students achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers across a range of subjects, preparing resources and supporting classroom activities.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to improve learning outcomes.
• Provide additional support for students with learning needs, removing barriers to achievement.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
• Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence.
• Contribute to pastoral and wellbeing initiatives for the student body.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• Positive, patient and flexible attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Passion for supporting the educational development of young people.
• Good organisational skills and teamwork orientation.
