Secondary Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Bristol)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Bristol. The role involves working closely with teachers and students to enhance learning outcomes and create an inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Help students overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage student participation.
• Collaborate with SEN staff and pastoral teams to monitor progress.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people in a school, youth, childcare or support setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Patient, positive and adaptable attitude.
• Confidence supporting learners with diverse needs.
• Passion for helping students succeed.
