About the role
Engage Education is seeking enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a range of secondary schools across Lewisham. Whether you are starting your career in education or have previous experience, you will join a welcoming environment focused on helping students achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Support pupils with behavioural and academic challenges as needed.
- Contribute to the overall wellbeing and progress of the school community.
Required profile
- Positive, proactive and flexible attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS (cost covered by Engage Education if required).
- Experience with young people is desirable but not essential.
