Security Architect – Grade E – CISO – Edinburgh or London (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are looking for a Security Architect (Grade E) to join the CISO team at TSB, part of Santander, based in Edinburgh or London on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will provide security‑architecture direction to value‑streams and feature teams adopting cloud technologies, defining guardrails and ensuring secure delivery of new capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain security architecture roadmaps, patterns and standards for cloud and datacentre environments.
• Guide development and delivery teams on implementing security controls across AWS, Azure and on‑premise infrastructure.
• Design and review networking and datacentre security solutions, including Citrix CVAD deployments.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate security requirements into actionable designs.
• Support the transition of solutions from design through production operation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a security architect, delivering end‑to‑end solutions from vision to production.
• Track record of creating architectural roadmaps, patterns and standards.
• Hands‑on experience with datacentre infrastructure, networking security and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with Citrix CVAD on‑premise architecture and Microsoft security technologies.
• Relevant certifications for AWS and Azure are a plus.
