Security Engineer

About the role

You will own the end‑to‑end security of critical satellite and telecommunications networks, shaping the design, implementation and long‑term protection of vital connectivity frameworks for defence and national security. The position is based full‑time onsite in Surrey and offers a permanent contract with a competitive salary.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and embed information security plans and operational policies.
• Monitor security tools to identify, investigate and resolve live incidents.
• Test customer and internal systems for vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical advice on global network design to internal engineering groups.
• Create and update architectural documentation, support guides and schematics.

Required profile

• Hands‑on engineering experience with Cisco and Juniper platforms.
• Five years designing and managing secure multi‑network systems.
• British nationality and eligibility for Security Check clearance.
• Understanding of GDPR and ISO 27001 compliance.
• Background in telecommunications or maritime communications is advantageous.
