Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to take responsibility for the design, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of cybersecurity across internal and customer networks and systems. The role works closely with Security, IT, Compliance and Engineering teams, providing technical expertise in network security, incident response, vulnerability management and security monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies, standards, procedures and technical controls.
• Design, build, test and troubleshoot security solutions across internal and customer networks.
• Monitor and investigate security events using SIEM, IDS/IPS and other security tools.
• Manage vulnerabilities, support penetration testing and security assessments.
• Provide third‑line technical support for complex network security issues and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working across multiple networks and complex environments.
• Proven experience designing and managing secure networks and investigating security incidents.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security issues to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to obtain and maintain UK SC Security Clearance.

• £50,000 basic salary per year
• Working hours 09:00 – 17:30
