Security Engineer

About the role

The Security Engineer will join Marex's Cyber Security team, reporting to the Cyber Security Manager. The role focuses on engineering, administering and continuously improving identity protection, privileged access management and related access control environments across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer security products to be production ready and configure tools for anomaly detection, intrusion and malware events.
• Support privileged account management, credential rotation, access workflows and incident response.
• Develop and document cyber security standards, collaborate with technology teams for patching, system hardening and deployment of security solutions.
• Automate repetitive tasks, create analytical tools and contribute to threat intelligence, hunting and detection improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security with strong knowledge of identity and access control technologies.
• Hands‑on experience administering privileged access management solutions such as CyberArk.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, cloud platforms and directory services from an identity security perspective.
• Ability to produce operational metrics, control reporting and audit evidence for identity‑related controls.

Required skills

• Entra ID, Identity Protection, Privileged Access Management, Secrets Management, Key Management, PKI and Certificate Management.
• CyberArk or equivalent PAM tool.
• Hashicorp Vault or similar secrets & key management solution.
• Venafi, Digicert or equivalent PKI management tools.
• Knowledge of CIS and NIST frameworks and security processes such as vulnerability management, penetration testing and incident response.
