Security Manager – NHS (Band 7) – 6‑month contract

About the role
This 6‑month, full‑time contract role is based onsite in Cheltenham within an NHS organisation. The Security Manager (Agenda for Change Band 7) will lead the security function, ensuring safety, compliance and high‑quality service for patients and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain efficiency, safety and performance standards across the security service.
- Ensure compliance with patient services, health and safety legislation and staff safety requirements.
- Provide line management for security staff, including recruitment, induction, training, appraisals and personal development planning.
- Manage sickness absence, grievances, disciplinary cases and service complaints.
- Collaborate with Group and GMS colleagues on new‑build projects, fire safety, service developments and emergency planning.
Required profile
- Previous experience working within the NHS environment.
- Understanding of Agenda for Change Band 7 responsibilities.
- Strong leadership and team‑building capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations.
