Security Officer – Day Shifts (Manchester)

About the role

We are looking for a Security Officer to join the Operations Team at Emirates Old Trafford, the home of Lancashire Cricket. The role is based on day shifts (four days on, four days off) and involves maintaining a safe environment for staff, visitors and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional presence across the stadium, monitoring staff, visitors and contractors.
• Control access to restricted areas and operate security equipment as required.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the venue and partner premises.
• Monitor CCTV systems on match and non‑match days, reviewing footage and responding to suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances and medical incidents, escalating to the Safety Team or emergency services when needed.
• Identify and report risks, hazards and maintenance issues in line with company procedures.
• Accurately record incidents, accidents and breaches of health, safety or security policies.
• Work closely with the Safety Officer and wider teams to ensure appropriate security coverage for daily operations and events.
• Participate in structured shift handovers and complete required administrative duties.

Required profile

• Valid, in‑date SIA Door Supervisor licence.
• Level 2 Award in CCTV Operations.
• Previous security experience in a large, high‑footfall environment such as a sports stadium, entertainment venue or shopping centre.

Required skills

• CCTV operation, including reviewing and downloading footage.
