Security Operations Engineer

About the role

The Security Operations Engineer will work within LSEG's Security Operations & Fusion Management team to turn large security data sets into actionable insight, supporting the Security Fusion Centre and multiple security disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve, manipulate and analyse large security datasets using Splunk, Excel, SQL and Power BI to identify trends and insights.
• Design, build and maintain dashboards, reporting products, SOAR workflows and integrations that automate manual tasks and improve visibility.
• Integrate new data sources and platforms (SIEM, SOAR, APIs) into the Fusion Centre, supporting automation and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from Cyber Security, Physical Security, Social Media Intelligence and Financial Crime to shape requirements and deliver capabilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, automation and analytics across the security estate.

Required profile

• Experience with enterprise SIEM platforms such as Splunk, including searching, reporting and dashboard creation.
• Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Proactive, curious mindset with a track record of taking ownership of outcomes and driving improvement.
