Security Service Engineer – Yorkshire (Fire & Security)

About the role

We are seeking a Security Service Engineer to join a leading fire and security business in Yorkshire. The successful candidate will service, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial, industrial and domestic sites.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits.
• Respond to reactive service calls and breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and perform occasional installations.
• Participate in an on‑call rota (one week in six).

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience servicing fire and security systems.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong attendance record.
• Computer literate and comfortable using mobile devices or PDAs.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to pass industry‑standard security screening.

Required skills

• Galaxy intruder alarm systems (essential).
• Texecom, Scantronic, Menvier (desirable).
• CCTV analogue and IP systems.
• Remote monitoring platforms.
• Kentec, Ziton, C‑Tec fire alarm systems (essential).
• Paxton Net2 access control.
