Security Systems Engineer – Full‑Time Self‑Employed

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join an established security company covering South‑East England. The position is full‑time, self‑employed and involves servicing, maintaining and installing electronic security systems across commercial and educational sites.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain, fault‑find and repair CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Install new CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm equipment as required.
• Travel to customer sites across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, London, Essex and surrounding counties.
• Complete accurate service reports and associated paperwork.
• Occasionally work on Fire Alarm and Automatic Gate systems, with training provided.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and to a high standard.

Required profile

• Previous experience servicing and maintaining CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South‑East.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
• Eligibility to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
