Self-Employed Mortgage Adviser (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a self‑employed Mortgage Adviser to work remotely across the UK. You will provide fully compliant, whole‑of‑market mortgage and protection advice, generating and converting your own leads while delivering excellent client outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver holistic mortgage and protection advice via phone, video call and email.
• Source new business through self‑generation and network‑provided leads.
• Conduct fact‑finds and affordability assessments in line with Consumer Duty and TCF principles.
• Research the market and recommend suitable mortgage products from whole‑of‑market or panel lenders.
• Submit and manage mortgage applications through to completion, liaising with lenders, solicitors and estate agents.
• Recommend appropriate protection products such as life, critical illness, income protection and buildings/contents.
• Maintain accurate case records and compliant file notes on the CRM system.
• Stay up‑to‑date with lending criteria, product updates and regulatory requirements.
• Manage your own diary and pipeline to maximise conversion and client experience.

Required profile

• CeMAP 1, 2 and 3 (or equivalent qualification) fully held.
• Relevant experience giving regulated mortgage advice (newly qualified or experienced).
• Proven track record of sourcing or converting mortgage business (if experienced).
• Strong knowledge of mortgage sourcing systems such as Trigold or Mortgage Brain.
• Excellent telephone manner and ability to build rapport remotely.
• Self‑motivated, disciplined and able to manage workload without office supervision.
• Reliable home working setup with stable broadband.
• Full right to work in the UK.
