SEMH Behaviour Support Specialist – Full‑time (Term‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a driven graduate to join our specialist alternative provision in Stroud, providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support for young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The role is full‑time during term dates and offers hands‑on experience in a trauma‑informed, relationship‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small‑group support to students with SEMH and behavioural challenges.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies, de‑escalation techniques and emotional regulation support.
• Build trusting relationships to promote engagement, resilience and confidence.
• Assist students in reintegrating into mainstream or further education pathways.
• Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary, trauma‑informed team to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Psychology graduate or related degree (desirable).
• Experience in youth work, support work or SEN settings (advantageous).
• Passion for mental health, SEN and behaviour support.
• Resilient, proactive and emotionally intelligent.
• Committed to making a real difference.
