About the role
We are looking for an experienced SEMH Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Redbridge. The role focuses on supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, ensuring they are fully included in learning and can achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, adapted lessons for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and pastoral interventions.
- Collaborate closely with the SENCO, class teachers and external professionals.
- Track pupil progress and contribute to individual support plans.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and resilience.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with SEMH or additional needs (desirable).
- Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building abilities.
- Ability to work within a mainstream primary setting.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.
- Right to work in the UK.
Required skills
What we offer
- Full‑time salary £37,870 – £50,474 per year.
- Additional SEN allowance of £2,787 – £5,497.
