About the role
We are seeking a caring and resilient Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Bedford this September. You will work directly with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, helping them thrive in a supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Assist teachers and SEN staff in delivering tailored lessons.
- Help create a positive, engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor pupil progress and report observations to senior staff.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
- Patient, proactive and able to build strong relationships.
- Passionate about making a real difference in pupils' lives.
