About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs in mainstream primary schools across East London. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and offers flexible days, with opportunities for daily supply, short‑term or long‑term assignments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide class support, 1‑to‑1 and small‑group assistance for pupils with a range of SEN, including MLD, SLD, ASD, PMLD and SEMH.
- Work within small classes of 8‑10 pupils, delivering tailored support and helping manage behaviour.
Required profile
- Minimum three months recent classroom experience in the UK.
- Previous experience with SEN (SEMH, ASD, MLD, SLD, PMLD or complex needs).
- Strong behaviour management and excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid DBS/police check.
