Semi Senior Accountant – Croydon (Office Based)

About the role

We are seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join an established, growing accountancy practice in Croydon. This permanent, full‑time role offers the chance to work with a varied client portfolio and develop your practice experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Apply FRS102 and FRS105 reporting standards.
• Complete self‑assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Provide bookkeeping services for a range of clients.
• Liaise directly with clients, offering day‑to‑day support and advice.
• Assist with general practice accounting duties as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Good understanding of FRS102 and FRS105.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, client‑focused approach.
