Semi Senior Accountant – Hybrid (Leigh-on-Sea)

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established, growing accountancy firm in Leigh‑on‑Sea that is looking for a driven Semi Senior Accountant. The role offers a varied mix of statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT and tax work, with the flexibility of hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end statutory accounts for SMEs and owner‑managed businesses
• Produce monthly/quarterly management accounts with insightful commentary
• Complete VAT returns and advise on VAT queries
• Assist with corporation and personal tax computations
• Support junior staff and review their work where required
• Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA/ACA or AAT (or QBE with strong practice experience)
• Experience in an accountancy practice environment
• Confidence working across accounts, VAT, tax and management accounts
• Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload
