About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN 1:1 Support Assistant to work with children who have special educational needs in our pre‑school room. This part‑time position offers 10 hours per week, providing a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young children and their families.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one‑to‑one support to children with SEN, focusing on sensory play and regulation activities.
- Assist with daily routines, ensuring safety and promoting independence.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic environment and model good hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with the early years team to tailor activities to each child’s developmental stage.
- Report any concerns or incidents to management in line with safeguarding policies.
Required profile
- Passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the specified hours.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Required skills
- Experience supporting children with SEN (desirable).
- Experience in early years settings (desirable).
