SEN Caseworker – Remote (£307/day)

About the role
The SEN Caseworker will support Hampshire County Council in delivering the statutory Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process for children and young people aged 0‑25. Working remotely, you will ensure legal duties under the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice are met.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the full EHCP process, from assessment to annual review.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records on Hampshire systems.
- Meet non‑negotiable statutory deadlines (20‑week assessments, review dates, tribunal orders).
- Produce lawful, compliant, and outcome‑focused EHCP documents.
- Act as the main point of contact for families, schools and multi‑agency partners.
- Escalate complex, high‑risk or contentious cases promptly following local routes.
Required profile
- Strong working knowledge of SEND legislation and the Code of Practice.
- Commitment to meeting statutory deadlines and quality standards.
- Ability to manage sensitive communications professionally.
- Proactive risk identification and escalation skills.
