SEN Class Teacher – Full‑time Position in Reading

About the role
We are seeking a passionate SEN Class Teacher to join a well‑resourced specialist school in Reading. The role supports children and young people aged 5‑16 with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other complex learning needs, delivering personalised learning plans in a nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to each pupil’s needs.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Support academic progress alongside social and emotional development.
- Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, SENCOs and external professionals.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and their families.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher with a genuine passion for inclusive education.
- Experience with SEN pupils is desirable but not essential.
- Resilient, compassionate and motivated to make a difference.
- Interest in autism, SEMH or therapeutic approaches to learning.
