About the role
We are recruiting an SEN Class Teacher for a September start to work with children and young adults who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and SEMH needs. The role is based in Birmingham and involves teaching small classes across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 in a holistic, nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Teach small, mixed‑ability classes across KS2 and KS3, differentiating lessons to meet individual needs.
- Plan and deliver lessons that support both academic progress and social‑emotional wellbeing.
- Prioritise the mental health and wellbeing of pupils within the classroom.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create a holistic learning environment where every child matters.
- Recognise and celebrate progress, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) holder.
- Resilient, empathetic and flexible, able to thrive in a collaborative team.
- Committed to making a profound impact on children with SEMH needs.
