About the role
We are seeking a compassionate SEN Classroom Mentor to support students with special educational needs in a vibrant school near Reading. You will work one‑to‑one and in small groups, helping learners aged 3 to 18 achieve their academic, emotional and social goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to students with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, sensory issues, physical disabilities and other needs.
- Assist teachers and the SENCo in delivering tailored learning objectives.
- Manage behaviour, well‑being and emotional regulation situations.
- Facilitate inclusion in art, IT, drama and sports activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
Required profile
- Calm, compassionate and able to stay positive under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Motivation to work with children of diverse abilities.
- Graduate or early‑career professional seeking experience in education, psychology or mental health.
Required skills
What we offer
- Full‑time, Monday‑Friday schedule (8:30‑15:30).
- Competitive daily rate of £90‑£100.
