About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Chigwell. You will work with KS1 and KS2 pupils, helping them achieve progress in a child‑centred, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

Lead a class for half a day when staffing gaps arise.
Deliver targeted interventions alongside class teachers.
Create engaging learning resources to support academic progress.
Collaborate closely with the SENCo to support pupils with SEN and EAL needs.
Set learning targets and provide assessment feedback.

Required profile

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or HLTA is desirable.
Strong initiative and willingness to take responsibility.
Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning is ideal but not essential.

Required skills

What we offer

Competitive daily rate of £100‑£120.
Long‑term, full‑time placement (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑4:30 pm).
Supportive staff team in a Good‑rated Ofsted school.
